Ed's birthday

Let me start my blog nostalgia with Ed's birthday.. because this was one of my favorite events in Shanghai!!

Ed's birthday was a big deal sort of for everyone. Sigh, her roommate, was the mastermind-slash-head event organizer. Plan was that she was getting a "signature" bag, a notebook with messages from us, and lots and lots of 18 stuff!! Dinner was gonna be at Glismatten since it was one of her favorite places in Shanghai. My assignment (together with Sigh) was to come up with the 18 cuties video. Easy, I thought.

Everyone was present. The Shanghai ban back in Manila, as well as the people close to Eds in Shanghai, and of course, her Shanghai classmates. Basically, we were mostly from the Shanghai and Xiamen ban there!

This is the Xiamen ban. Because we're often present in these events. And with the Xiamen ban, it's never hard to organize and actually make people go. With the birthday girl here. Except, our dear Celcius wasn't here because he had a lovelife to attend to. Fred and Ritchie also weren't here because they were in Tibet. Now easy friends, nobody can ever contest with those reasons, right?!?

I think I'll have to admit that out of all the sections in Manila, we were the ones who loved meeting up as a class and having "class pictures" whenever we had the chance!

Glismatten was among Ed's favorite restaurants in Shanghai. Located in Taikang Lu (my personal favorite place in Shanghai), it had a promo every Thursday where their ribs are on a buy 1 take 1 promo! Luckily, Ed's birthday fell on a Thursday! This was my first and last time in Glismatten. I''ll have to say that their ribs were good esp. the dessert (as suggested by Em). But for me, nothing will ever beat Ate V.'s special ribs back home!! YUMMY. MUY DELICIOSO!!

and of ocurse, since the birthday girl arrived late, well not really because we had to stall her. You see, this was a surprise to her so everyone went way ahead of her, we decided to take pictures first while waiting!!

One of the things that I loved the most out of everything in this celebration, aside of course from the 18 Cuties video presentaton was The 18 Smiles. Where pictures of Eds were hung in the restaurant. Pictures taken by Allan Ngo. How I wish I can have this also! I swear I'll have them framed!!

And then of course her 18 Cuties video which took me and Sigh 3 days to complete! The video I thought would be easy, turned out to be hard esp. because we had to hang out in the dorm lobby to search for them 18 cute boys!! But needless to say, we had FUN!! Coz after Eds' birthday, we had 18 new "cute" friends saying hi to us in school and in the dorm. At times, I didn't even remember them! So enjoy friends!!
